13th May 2012 - 2012 Defendo Instructors Course
Defendo UK are pleased to announce the 2012 DEFENDO INSTRUCTORS COURSE. This course is designed for all
students and instructors that wish to to either dramatically improve their understanding of this system or to
take their teaching to another level. The course will be held in Swindon on Saturday July 7th and Sunday July
8th followed by Saturday November 10th. The course is a total of 18 hours.
Some of the course content includes principles of control and compliance, force continuum and British law,
technique categories, lock flows, applications, teaching principles as well as weapons training and defence.
This is a very detailed course that any and all levels of martial artist can benefit from. If you would like

Defendo re-discovered
After spending over a year researching the original defendo and Combato archives, it has come to light that
the original system of Combato and defendo is much larger than we first thought. There are dozens
of techniques that are from the original system waiting to be taught. This is an exciting time for defendo
UK in bringing Bills work to the public eye once again.
Defendo DVD's
The three part Defendo DVD series comprises of techniques from levels one and two plus attribute training, which
shows you ways in which you can train Defendo and make it functional. It also includes the "Billy." This is a part
of the improvised weapons training from Defendo. With literally dozens of techniques, lock flows, mass attack
defence and ways to train, they make an important part of any serious martial artist DVD collection.
1st January 2011 - The first defendo seminar of 2011.
The first defendo seminar of 2011 will be in Swindon on January 29th.

Pat Underwood has just finished a small book on the life of her dad and it will soon be available through Defendo UK

Pat Underwood will be visiting the UK in late August for the first time.

3rd Jun 2008 - Basic Level 3 Instructorship Awarded
Steven Smith is the first student of Clive Elliott to obtain Basic Level 3 instructorship. Steven has a great understanding of defendo and has been representing Clive and Defendo UK at many seminars. Congratulations Steven.
